Other than my Tiffany Passport Cover and custom SOG knife, there is only one other gift I’ve received from my honor attendant duties that truly stands out in my mind due to the care and thoughtfulness behind it all. I was gifted a Forest Music Dinner plate from Anthropologie. Yes, very random. Yes, it is just a plate but this plate is one that I wanted from Anthropologie’s Fall 2013 line that I slightly mentioned to the bride. 10 months later, the plate no longer in stock, was gifted to me. The fact that this was something mentioned on one of my Black Friday raids and remembered 10 months later touched my heart.

So why the plate? Out of the many things at Anthropologie, this was the only thing that caught my eye…well, I guess I do like the fancy measuring cups. But I’ll save that for Black Friday 2014. Here’s a little more about the artist.
Florence Balducci – Though technically an illustrator and designer by trade, we consider Parisian artist Florence Balducci to be a professional visionary. Her whimsical works of art recall her lifelong love of literature, composition and fashion, while suggesting a magpie’s eye for all things charming and peculiar—sketches of exotic wing-backed creatures and mystical hot air balloons come to mind.
