I think I customized Outlook to a point where it gets irritated and decides not to start. There’s a fix if you ever get this message, “Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. Invalid XML, the view cannot be loaded.”
At first I thought /resetviews would fix it but it turns out there was a problem with my navpanes instead. The fix is to launch Outlook with /resetnavpane. To do this, click on Windows (start button), type in outlook.exe /resetnavpane and hit enter on the keyboard.
Outlook will then reset the panes and you’ll be up and running. Enjoy!
