COVID19

Thanks to shelter in place and COVID19 many people have had to work from home. With everyone working from home, multiple conference calls going on, and kids, I had to find a little more solitude…social distancing from the family. Here’s my setup in my 2012 Honda Odyssey. Yes, I have another awesome home office setup but there are too many distractions.

Work From Home Setup

Fairly simple setup; DJ laptop stand, mousepads, desk lamp, desk fan, pens, notebooks, wireless keyboard, and mouse. This is all set up on my coffee table and I even rolled out a carpeted. WiFi? I have 6 APs and don’t have to worry about reach or delays.

I spent a good 3 hours in the van with all doors and windows shut. Surprisingly, my desk and laptop fans kept the air going and the whole setup is comfortable but more importantly sound proof. If it does get hot out there, I think I’ll turn on the AC and enjoy the creature comforts of home outside of home. In a sense, this is a mobile office! Now I can work anywhere. UPDATES TO MOBILE OFFICE

Also threw in a small cube chair storage thing and a warm blanket. Yes, I do have an extension cord running into the house. Added a printer and 2nd monitor.
