Cherry Picking Memorial Day

It’s hot outside. Hot meaning about 95 degrees. But in this heat, cherries on trees are really sweet. Picking cherries is also another fun, family activity that can be done now during the COVID pandemic.

This season we headed out to New Berry Cherry located in Brentwood, California. They have a big lot with at least 8 variations of cherries. They have a great U Pick selection. U Pick is where you go into the farm and pick the items you want at the end. During the creation of this post, cherries were $3.50/pound. This is a deal considering most grocery stores sell them for $5.99/pound.

Head over to Brentwood if you’re searching for a family activity. They have other farms in the area for strawberries, plums, apricots, etc… Just make sure you figure out the seasons. Oh, corn! They are known for corn.
