Medical Breakthrough Review

It’s June and places are starting to open up from the COVID pandemic but I don’t want to leave the house. I’m playing with my vintage toys, taking time to read and write, and I have an amazing massage chair. My mornings start with a shower and then some breakfast. Then I jump into my massage chair for an hour. It is a magic hour.

Most reviews for massage chairs end up pointing to a Costco Osaki chair. The roadshows for the massage chairs are the best because they are good way to figure out what you really want to see in a chair. There are many reviews on the Costco and the Brookstone chairs. Then every 3rd review or so I read a little about a company called Medical Breakthrough.

Medical Breakthrough chairs are about $1,000-3,000 more expensive than the ones at Costco. And every dollar is worth it. Their massage chairs have so many features and the one that sticks out the most is the Hip Twist. Their chair will twist your hips from side to side. The hip twist is cool but I think that the Champissage Head Massager is better. The head massager is based on an Indian head massage technique that has been practiced for over 1,000 years. The massage chair has pillows around your head which fill with air to perform the massage.

All chairs have some kind of mechanism for your back. With Medical Breakthrough they have a rolling, tapping, and kneading massages. The strange but good thing is that if feels like a human hand performing the massage.

Another feature that I love is the hand, forearm, calf and foot massages. Once again the pillows of air add pressure to your hands, forearms, calves, and feet. The overall massage techniques have great flow as to when things happen. The feet are going at the same time as your arms, then your back with calves.

The other perks of this chair is the full-body stretch, Bluetooth speakers, and the zero-gravity system. At first the full-body stretch is strange and gives you a weird feeling that you’re being torn apart. It does not tear you apart. The Bluetooth speakers act as they should. The quality is ok but I don’t think I was looking for movie sound quality. The zero-gravity system is like other chairs. Oh, the heat. You can turn on a heat feature that adds heat to the massage areas. This is great for the cold winter nights.

Would I buy this chair again? Yes. When you order your chair, they ask for the height and approximate weights for everyone in the house and your family. They ask this because they customize the chair for you. A chair for a 6’ person would not be effective for someone who is only 4’. I appreciate this level of detail.

Check them out. Tell them edelalon.com sent you. For now, I’m going to enjoy my days in shelter-in-place. I’ve been using mine for 2 hours every day.

  1. Bought Medical Breakthrough 5 one year ago. Use it 20+ times a day. No problems and massage quality is excellent. Best $2500 I have spent.

  2. Hi Edel, I am looking at the MB X. Are there any reviews on this chair that you can refer?

  3. Hi Bradley,

I bought the MB X July 1st of 2021. Love it! You got to get use to it as I feel like it’s not targeted to just make you fall a sleep but to work the stress out of your body. Definitely recommend it. I love how I can pin point specific areas to work on. The customer service for this company has really been excellent. They even sent me 5 different extra items for massage on the go on top of the fourth of July sale. I hope you enjoy!
