There are many techniques to making chicken thighs look delicious. I’ve tried many things such as using muffin/cupcake sheets to fit them into a nice circle.
In the end, the fastest way of making a great looking chicken thigh is to:
- Trim the fat
- Arrange the skin and wrap it around the thigh as much as possible
- Do not touch them until they are ready to get off the grill
The 3rd tip takes patience and a good grill. In my last cook, I placed them in a 225 degree heat and left them in there for 1 hour. They came out delicious and not burned.
