Weddings have been on hold for so long; it’s great to see that they will be arriving back with a bang! If you are getting hitched soon and want some new ideas of what to add, here are some of our favorite things to make your big day more interesting.
Invite Your Pets
If you have animals, there is a good chance that you consider them family. So why not invite them to be a part of your big day? You could even have them as part of the bridal party and get them dressed up to help with carrying the rings.
Mobile Bar
Move over DIY cocktail bars. Mobile bars are the newest trend for guests. The great thing about these mobile bars is that they come in different sizes so you could get a bike that circles the outside of your guests or a little trolley that brings the booze right to their table.
Remember the Weather
If you are having your wedding outdoors, it is always important to remember that the weather might not be on your side. If you are expecting sun, make sure that there is sunscreen available for your guests as well as a shady space. Or, in the event of rain, provide umbrellas and blankets so that guests can stay warm and dry.
Information Overload
There is a good chance that some of the people that come to your wedding don’t know one (or both) of you very well. By creating a small information sheet with important details on it, you can share plenty of information with your guests but try to make the sheet cute. This is your wedding, not a work presentation.
Leave with a Bang
No, we don’t mean a literal bang, but you should consider how you will make your exit from the party. Will you go with the traditional car with the tin cans tied to the back? Or will you escape on a boat to your honeymoon? See what options you have to escape your wedding and head off on your honeymoon.
No More First Dances
The first dance is always awkward if you have a big dress and no rhythm. Instead, try an activity that is special or fun to make your next step into married life. It doesn’t have to be complicated; it could even be as simple as a game of darts.
Remember Your Dress
Picking the dress out can be very tricky, so make sure that you have all the options. Plus size wedding dress guide can give you some ideas on the different styles that are available for you and your bridal party.
Welcome Baskets
If you are having guests coming from out of town or you are having a destination wedding, you could create a welcome basket. These can contain anything, but some of the best things are always found locally. Make sure you also include any information about the area that you think will be important and some fun facts about the bride and groom.
