Eating during the pandemic is challenging. I miss the ambiance and service. More importantly, I miss not having to deal with your own plate at the end of the day.
It seems difficult to find places that will plate your food in take-out containers but not with Cafe La Maude in Philadelphia. They plate your togo box as if it was served right off one of their plates.
Cafe La Maude is located in the Northern Liberties side of Philadelphia and is home to many residents that have continued to support them throughout the pandemic.
I had the pleasure of eating their Croque Maude which is made up of Pain de mie stuffed w/ham, bacon, house cheese blend & avocados, topped w/Bechamel sauce & 2 sunny side up eggs; side of home fries. To top it off, I had some of the Parfait Bleu which is a combination of lemon yogurt, agave, spirulina, chopped nuts, berries, kiwi, turmeric, flax seed & shaved coconut.
Check them out if you’re in Philadelphia.
