Flank Steak Chimichurri

I was craving something different so I went outside my norm of ribeye steaks and went flank. I even went further outside my norm of adobo seasoning and decided I wanted a chimichurri marinade.

Chimichurri is a simple but tasty sauce made from different herbs and oil. The flavor penetrates meat or veggies.

Here’s the recipe for the sauce that you can use it pretty much anything.

Ingredients

1 shallot
1 jalapeño
8 garlic cloves
½ cup red wine vinegar
2 tsp. salt
½ cup cilantro
¼ cup parsley
2 Tbsporegano
1 cup oil

Method

  1. Chop everything into tiny pieces.
  2. Add the oil.
  3. Pour over meat or veggies.
  4. Let it soak for a few hours.
  5. Cook meat or veggies by grilling them until done.
