One of the easiest ways to try new things is to go out to eat. You don’t have to cook the food yourself, which is a good way to see how it’s supposed to be cooked before you attempt it yourself. You can discover things you might not ever try and cook at home or that you might not even realize exists without seeing it on a restaurant menu. Experiment with different things and even various ways of preparing what you find.

If you enjoy cooking, expanding your repertoire in the kitchen is a great way to diversify your diet. Buying a cookbook can get you started, whether you buy it in physical format or you get an ebook. You could choose a book that covers a certain type of cuisine, which will often have some good tips about essential ingredients, tools, and techniques. Or you might be interested in cookbooks that approach cooking from another angle, such as recipes for winter or for losing weight. Of course, you can find recipes online too.

Pick Up Some New Ingredients

Another great way to diversify your diet is to explore some new ingredients. If you’ve ever seen something while you’re shopping and wondered what it was and how to cook it, try picking it up next time and trying it out. If you really want to explore some new things, you can try visiting a range of stores that offer different cuisines. Asian stores can have lots of ingredients that you might struggle to find elsewhere that can be fun to cook.
