Earlier this year, singer-songwriter Dan Wilson released his new single, “Red Light.” The song was written in the wake of a tragedy – the loss of all the master recordings from his two bands Semisonic and Trip Shakespeare in a fire at Universal Studios. In this interview, Wilson talks about the songwriting process and how it was influenced by his family members who have suffered memory loss. “Red Light” is a haunting meditation on life and memory, set to an evocative piano arrangement.
It’s a powerful reminder of the fragility of our lives and the importance of cherishing every moment. Dan Wilson’s “Red Light” is a song that will stay with you long after the first listen.
