- Chat with friends and family first. Plan your budget. Your budget is usually going to go on the venue, but if you do have a lovely garden between you or any of the other participants, you could always use a garden or an indoor space and host there. If the baby is due to be born in winter or the baby shower is going to be held in the winter months, then finding a nice restaurant. Or a whole, a good way to host the baby shower. Once you know where the venue will be, you can start planning your budget for other things such as cakes and, games and food.
