Here’s a quick recipe for Kung Pao Chicken. Not on the traditional side of things, just a quick recipe to get the job done.
Fried Chicken
- 1 lb chicken boneless
- 6 tbsp oil
- Salt as per taste
- 1 small egg beaten
- 4 tbsp cornflour
Sauce
- 1½ dice cut onion
- 1½ dice cut bell pepper
- 1½ dice cut carrot
- 2 green onion leaves chopped ( for garnish)
- 12 fried red button chilies
- 4 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp chili oil
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 4 tbsp dark soy sauce
- Salt as per taste
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 2 tsp chicken powder
- 3 tbsp oyster sauce
- 4 tbsp cornflour (dissolved in ½ cup of water)
- 3 tbsp peanuts
Method
- Marinate chicken with above ingredients mentioned in for fired chicken. Keep aside for an hour.
- Now in a pot add oil, chilli oil and ginger garlic paste. Fry on high heat until light brown in color.
- Now add vegetables, fried chicken, fried red button chilies and peanuts.
- Then add chicken stock and let it cook on normal flame.
- Now add dark soya sauce, salt (this recipe will take less salt).
- Add chicken powder and oyster sauce.
- In the end, add dissolved cornflour in it to make it thick.
